WORLDRETHINK: Twitter tour on May 21, 2020 - Are you happy with the unemployment numbers?

#WR: Are you happy because last week 2.4 million workers claimed #unemployment, less than the #peak of 7M in the end of March? Probably, some economists, Yes! But me: No! Despite the decline, the "series" shows the #vulnerability of Americans in serious crisis. #COVID19 #US

Today, in a classic story written by people of the economy side, the Wall Street Journal posted that last week the employment claims for benefits were less of the peak of 7 millions in the end of March.

Yes, it is good that less workers claim for unemployment. However, if we analyze the series of claims week by week, the figures continue bad.  This is the title of the story from The New York Times: "U.S. Jobless claims bring 9-week total over 38 million."

In summary, the series of claims show how vulnerable are the Americans are despite we live in one of the great powers of the world.
