RETHINKING: Independence Day



Dear Friends:

Always, on Independence Day, it is good to return to the pages of the American History to rethink who we are as an independent nation.

Here, two important paragraphs of the Declaration of American Independence that we never have to forget:

“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights; that among these are Life,
Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…”

Since 1776, a lot of events shook the country in good and bad way. Time passed. A long parade of politicians also marched away from the stage. Despite strong storms and gloomy days, the United States of America remains as one of the most important bastions of freedom of the world, and center of excellence in innovation and initiative of the planet.
