RETHINKING - October 31, 2021 - China, Russia are not on the table

The Wall Street Journal posted a new story about the Climate Summit titled

Biden’s Glasgow Challenge Is to Convince World That U.S. Can Lead on Climate

This was my blog comment

Without China and Russia on the table, and India distant from the others, this Climate Summit has not effective effect in crucial decisions about world climate politics.

RETHINKING - October 30, 2021 - A Summit to Nowhere

The Wall Street Journal posted an opinion column of the Editorial Board titled "The Climate Summit to Nowhere".

The column starts with a statement that says that C0P26 was planned with unrealistic goals and in a bad timing.

After that, WSJ adds "World leaders converge on Glasgow for a climate summit this weekend, and don’t laugh. This may be the worst-timed summit in history, but the delegates can still do substantial damage to the global economy, though none of it will matter to the climate."

"It’s incongruous bordering on the bizarre to organize a summit like this while Europe is battening down for a winter fuel crisis, President Biden is begging OPEC to produce more oil, China is firing up its coal-fueled power plants amid an electricity shortage, and climate-change plans wilt as soon as they’re exposed to the sunlight of democratic politics."

My opinion: "The summits about climate are a "new business" of the politicians. They meet periodically to discuss the climate of the future. With this excuse, they talk about their own businesses to make more money."

RETHINKING - October 28, 2021 - Hospital Prices

The Wall Street Journal in a special story about a hospital analyzes a $100,000 bill of a patient.

The story was titled "Hospital Prices Are Arbitrary. Just Look at the Kingsburys’ $100,000 Bill." by By Melanie Evans and Tom McGinty.

The story is more than dramatic, it is cruel.

This was my blog comment: "The prices of hospitals and private doctors are irrational.  They steal from the sick people. "

RETHINKING - October 26, 2021 - Are TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube the problem?

The Wall Street Journal posted a story titled “Senators Turn Child-Safety Spotlight on TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube”.

In the previous days, WSJ and the New York Times wrote about the negative effects of Instagram on children and teenagers.

Now, WSJ says that “TikTok executive is questioned over algorithms blamed for steering young users to harmful content.”

My opinion is that the problem is more complex than the algorithms of these Internet apps. In the Internet, children and adults will find new apps that fill the vacuum the ban of these apps can generate.

This was my comment in the blog of the WSJ story; “If the government bans TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube, the children will find other Internet tools to do the same they do with these apps.”

Opinion | China’s Hypersonic Wake-Up Call

I don't believe that the Chinese made checkmate to us till now. However, they will do, if Washington doesn't focus on winning Taiwan's battle. The assault on Taiwan has to become a horrible defeat for China's President Xi.

Opinion | Hong Kong Is Erasing the Tiananmen Square Massacre

“The Pillar of Shame” is a good sample of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. This is how the Chinese Communists act against the people who claim freedom. The authorities don't want to show the truth about the regime in the university environment.

It is difficult to give the right answer to the question of this opinion column. The recent events in Afghanistan showed that the United States looks in a weak situation to start a new war.

Opinion | President Sanders Uses His Veto

The Editorial opinion of the Wall Street Journal titled "President Sanders Use His Veto" shows how the Senator from Vermont is manipulating Capitol Hill and Biden's White House today. "President Sanders" will end the American spirit and the good entrepreneur initiatives and will open the door to illegals coming to the United States to steal our wealth.
