WORLDRETHINK: Twitter tour on April 28, 2021 - Dance of $97 tech billions!

#WR: Dance of the tech billions! Yesterday from California, Alphabet (Google’s father) reported first-quarter sales of $55.31 billion. And from Seattle, Microsoft reported its fiscal third-quarter sales to about $41.7 billion. Both companies show that their businesses continue growing in a strong way, independently of the political changes in the White House and the COVID pandemic.

#Google Earnings Smash Sales Records as Digital Ad Market Booms. YouTube helps power search giant to profits that far exceeded analyst expectations, " WSJ

"Microsoft has seen massive growth across its professional and consumer businesses with people stuck at home and remote work and distance education becoming the norm for many. That has driven rapid uptake of its cloud-computing services and supercharged the company’s video gaming sales." WSJ

WORLDRETHINK: Twitter tour on April 27, 2021 - Will Joe Biden become a second coming of FDR?

#WR: Interesting rethinking of President Biden's image. Gerard Baker, former @WSJ editor, posted a day before, a column that says: “America voted for a rest, Not a revolution, Elected as Not Trump, Biden aspires to be the second coming of Franklin Delano Roosevelt." #Biden #FDR

It is strange that Gerard Baker, who wrote bad comments about Joe Biden before the elections, now is drawing a lighting image of the current boss of the White House.

By the way, here some of the own words of the forrmer editor of The Wall Street Journal "Joe Biden aspires to be the second coming of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, so short of his showing up to work in a wheelchair and sucking on a cigarette holder, the first hundred days, which he marks this week, will serve as the most symbolic reminder of the president’s sense of historic purpose."

"The ritual observation of the passage of FDR’s calendrical contrivance promises to be even more turgid than usual this year. President Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress, which he delivers on Wednesday, will come with special solemnity. We will be reminded that delivering the nation from the baleful legacy of a one-term Republican in the midst of a national crisis with an urgent flurry of executive and legislative initiatives is what Democrats do"

"...,"

"This contrast alone—the dialing down of the hysteria we’ve lived with for four years—probably explains the 10-point difference in the Trump and Biden ratings. The cleverest White House move has been the careful rationing of the president’s presence in the lives of ordinary Americans, the rediscovery that scarcity has value."

Maxine Waters mixed justice with politics and she also incited to "confrontation". This is not the way, a member of the House has to act.

Opinion | Xavier Becerra’s Culture War

Independently of the WSJ criticism, we have to review the biography of Xavier Becerra. His a lawyer. He is not a medical doctor. We are living in a very special moment. The pandemic did not end and it will not end soon.
