While a lot of people only are thinking about the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), in other levels of the US government the fight against the interests of the Chinese to defeat America in the technology field continue.
The recent initiatives to force Intel, TSMA and other semiconductor manufacturers to develop and manufacture at home the new versions of microprocessors and chips is part of this war.
During the last decade, US authorities learned that the pressure of China to force to American companies to build advanced factories in its territory or in other Asian countries was part of the Chinese strategy to capture in an easy way the secrets of our technology leaders.
The new step of the US Commerce Department points to avoid the steal of more American secrets. We have to see if US in the end can stop the ambitions of Huawei Technology and the Chinese Communist Party.
