WORLDRETHINK: Twitter tour on May 12, 2020 - Who can help Intel to build new factories?

#WR: Who can help Intel to build factories for advanced chips?  This subject is not new, but China-US trade war puts again on the table. According to @WSJ , Intel and TSMC are courting US government for support in the building of new chip-manufacturing facilities. #Intel #TSMC #US

#WR: From @WSJ  about the cost of #chip advanced plants: "Chip-making giants and their investors understandably like the idea of the US government pitching in on a very expensive business." But what will be cost if the US government helps? #Intel #TSMC #semiconductors #US #factory

In the last decades, the evolution of the computers forced to improve permanent the development of semiconductors (chips) for more advanced and complex systems.

In particular, the semiconductor industry cannot advance using the same manufacturing facilities for chips of different complexity and design. This factor requests to build new factories for the next generations of chips. And this is terrible costly.

Due to this situation, Intel and TSMC are courting the US government for help in the building of new manufacturing plants inside the country. The problem for these players  is that if the America government support the projects of these manufacturers, surely it will ban the sale of the most advanced chips to China and our enemies.
