The Wall Street Journal posted an editorial column titled "Taking Dictators Literally and Seriously."
In this column WSJ makes two important observations. The first about Mr. Putin and the second about China's President Xi.
This is the comment about the Russian leader: "Putin told us for years what he’d do. The West didn’t listen. Will we now listen to the world’s other threatening autocrats?"
And this what the WSJ wrote about the Chinese leader: "In Beijing Xi Jinping speaks of Taiwan in much the same way Mr. Putin does Ukraine." "In 2019 Mr. Xi said “unification between the two sides of the [Taiwan] Strait is the great trend of history.”
My blog comment: " In the last few decades, the Western leaders were dreaming of eternal peace, while Russia and China worked hard to be the new owners of everything on the planet. The mistakes of America and Europe were huge."
