On the evening of Tuesday, February 7, President Biden delivered his 2023’s State of the Union speech in the Congress.
After that, The Wall Street Journal published an opinion column of the Editorial Board titled “The State of the Union Contradiction”.
The column starts with the following question: “If Biden is such a success, why aren’t Americans pleased?”
Through the column, WSJ observes a series of contradictions between the President’s speech and the facts of the current administration.
Myself, I posted the following comment in the blog section of WSJ Online version of the Editorial Board’s column:
“The defense of the country has to be a priority in the agenda of the President. While the current administration opens the southern border of the country to the invasion of crowds' illegal immigrants and doesn't protect our territory from a Chinese spy balloon, we cannot talk of effective successes of the President as the Commander in Chief.”
My blog comment received the approval of other members of the WSJ Members Community.
