During the last few days, the news from the United States and also from other western countries were focused on the Spy Balloon that flew across American territory.
On Sunday morning, Deutsche Welle from Germany dedicated a lot of space in its international section to talk about the Chinese balloon that had the audacity trespassing the frontier for the U.S.
DW said “The US has shot down a Chinese balloon that had been floating over the mainland for days.”
In the Wall Street Journal, like is normal in this kind of circumstance, the Editorial Board posted an opinion column titled “China Floats a Trial Balloon Over Montana.”
And next, the WSJ wrote “Somehow a weather balloon ended up near U.S. missile bases.”
Myself, I posted in the blog section of the WSJ Online the following comment:
“China is testing the reactions of the U.S. in different ways: political, military, defense....”
Other members of the WSJ Community applauded my comment.
But till now, we – the Americans – don’t know all the truth about this Chinese Balloon and why the US military didn’t shoot down exactly when it was trespassing our frontiers.(for fears about any China reaction? or for what?)
