RETHINKING - JANUARY 14, 2023 - NEW GENOCIDE

 Today, The Wall Street Journal posted a new story about the current events in the Ukraine-Russia war.

The story was titled “Blasts Rock Ukraine’s Cities as Russia Launches Two Waves of Missile Attacks” and it was written by Matthew Luxmoore.

Under this title, the author wrote “Ukrainian officials say Moscow used ballistic missiles, which Ukraine’s current air defenses can’t intercept”.

Next: “Russia launched two waves of missile attacks on Saturday against critical infrastructure in Ukraine’s capital and other cities across the country, seeking to deprive residents of power as it steps up its military campaign in the east.

Kyiv and other cities were struck in an early-morning barrage that officials said included ballistic missiles, and a second volley in the afternoon targeted the western part of the country. Across Ukraine, air-defense units scrambled to try to intercept the projectiles.”

After I read the story, I posted my comments in the blog section of the WSJ Online.

My first comment: “This is Putin's style of war: Destroy civil infrastructure and kill innocent people.”

Another member of the WSJ Community answered: “This is a genocide…”

Next, I answered to this member, I said: “Russia has a long genocide's history.”

A series of members of the Community applauded my opinions.
