On February 1st, 2022, the Wall Street Journal published an opinion column of the Editorial Board titled “Xi Jinping’s Year of the Tiger”
In this column, the Editorial Board marks that “despite the appearance of political stability at the top, China’s Year of the Tiger could be bumpy for Mr. Xi.”
Some of the members of the WSJ Community in the blog comment section wrote that the economic worries will not affect Mr. Xi. About this point, one of them questioned: “Does anyone think Xi cares about the average Chinese citizen or the impact his policies have on their lives?”
I answered the question with the following statement: “President Xi cares for his personal glory.”
A series of WSJ blog members approved my answer with LIKED.
The opinion column of the WSJ Editorial Board and the opinions of different members of the blog comment section show that not all run well for China's economy in the New Year.
