#WR: Who is Thomas Massie? He was the only lawmaker who put barriers to the 2 Trillion Stimulus Package for #COVID19's crisis. He is #Republican, US Representative for Kentucky, Master in Science in mechanical engineering from MIT. Do science's people analyze politics different?
#WR: From @WSJ: “Rep. Thomas Massie (R., Ky.) tweeted that he would object to a voice vote...“I swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and I take that oath seriously,” Mr. #Massie tweeted. “Is it too much to ask that the House do its job, just like the Senate did?” #COVID19
#WR: Rep Thomas Massie, It is sad to recognize that everybody has hurry for the money. In the mind of a lot of the new generations of Republicans and Democrats, the "principles" only have value when they come with a huge package of money.
Retweet of Massie tweet:
"Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie Are they afraid of the truth? I’ve been told that they don’t even have 1 minute available for me to speak against this bill during the 4 hour debate. The fix is in. If this bill is so great for America, why not allow a vote on it? Why not have a real debate? #SWAMP"
As we see, Thomas Massie is not a Democrat politician. He is a Republican with ultraconservative roots and with a science background and an important experience in businesses associated with applied science. He was the only lawmaker who say that before to pass the "mammoth" stimulus package for $2 trillion, the members of the US House had to analyze in details and debate for the good and/or bad things of the huge legislation. Ironically, Democrats didn't put serious objection about the this package.
