WORLDRETHINK: Twitter tour on March 15, 2020 - Solid-state batteries are coming...

#WR: Despite COVID-19, we have to think in positive! Good news! According to @WSJ, Japanese TDK developed a solid-state battery for small digital devices that is more compact and powerful than the lithium-ion batteries. Great, today that we need batteries for all! #batteries #TDK

#WR: From @WSJ to reread: “Companies are getting closer to replacing the battery that has led the consumer-electronics revolution over the past 30 years.” Important: New battery “has three times the energy density of existing lithium-ion batteries at one third the cost.” #battery

A group of Japanese companies are working in the developing of solid-state batteries with the goal in the automotive industry and the new smartphones and wearable devices.

“A Smaller, More Powerful Battery Begins to Charge Devices” by River Davis, The Wall Street Journal, March 15, 2020 talks more about this new technology development.
