The last reports about the dramatic situation of the Afghan government reveal facts that show the corruption and negligence of the political leaders put the country in the border of the abyss more than the Taliban's power.
The Wall Street Journal wrote "During his Wednesday meetings in Mazar-e-Sharif, Mr. Ghani - Afghan President - promised to end months of bureaucratic delays in supporting the so-called uprising militias raised against the Taliban, and to issue bank cards through which these fighters’ salaries would be paid, said Mohammad Afzal Hadid, the head of the provincial council."
“But this is like medicine after death,” Mr. Hadid added. “If he had listened to our advice two months ago, we would not have faced the current situation. We have lost all chances and opportunities.”
According to this story, we see that the Ghani's government didn't prepare its own resources when the United States announced the withdrawal of the allied troops. And apparently, it did not pay the salaries to the militias that had to have confronted the offensive of the Taliban's militants before the recent loss of important provinces and cities in the hands of the enemy. Corruption till the death day!
