The Editorial of Wall Street Journal says "Andrew Cuomo Should Have Made the Albany Vote. If he’s innocent as he says, he deserves a chance to defend himself."
"No prosecutor’s inquisition on a publicly charged issue will present the facts in an entirely neutral light. That’s why in most matters in the U.S., prosecutors don’t have the last word. If the report is as flawed and political as Mr. Cuomo insists he should have sought to prove that in an impeachment trial."
He didn't take the risk of the impeachment trial. From my point of view, after the resignation, Mr. Cuomo is a political dead man.
