When the Taliban entered Kabul, President Biden decided not to fight them. Others of our NATO allies thought the same.
What the Germans thought? DW – one important Germany’s media – wrote: “The Taliban, who want to win over the hearts and minds of the population, are aware that Afghanistan can hardly survive without aid.”
Germans and Britons – two of the most important American allies in the Afghanistan war – were thinking what will happen after the end of the 20-year conflict.
Americans, Britons, Germans, and others said: “The Taliban will need commercial partners to run Afghanistan after the withdrawal.”
Everybody thought to help the Taliban to operate the airports, the cities, and the government.
Ironically, The Taliban are thinking differently from us and our allies.
Today, The Telegraph – British newspaper – commented in an opinion column that the Taliban till now didn’t form a new government, but they decided for an international partnership to help them to run the airports, the cities and their economy.
What was the decision of the Taliban? According to The Telegraph, the new rulers of Afghanistan selected China to rebuild their country after a long war.
In Conclusion, The Taliban decided to make a partnership with the worst enemy of the United States.
