RETHINKING - MAY 11, 2022 - STALIN'S TIMES

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine started, The Wall Street Journal published a series of stories about the criminal behavior of the soldiers and commanders against civilians every time they entered small villages.

In connection with this subject, today WSJ Online posted a story titled “Ukraine to Try Russian Soldier for War Crimes” written by Mauro Orru and Matthew Luxmoore.

The story also says “Prosecutor-general says her office has identified about 40 members of the Russian military who are suspected of committing war crimes.

This was my blog comment posted in the section of bloggers of WSJ:

“Russians are returning to the Stalin times committing war crimes and sending civilians to work camps. The old practices of the communist regime are used to intimidate the Ukrainians.”

Other members of the WSJ Community agreed with my opinion, but another observed that the Stalin times were worse than we are seeing right now.
