In an excellent opinion column, Peggy Noonan from the Wall Street Journal made a great evaluation of the results of the Virginia’s governor election, where the Republican Glenn Youngkin won.
The column of Ms. Noonan started with two crucial questions:
1) “Will the – Democratic- party recognize its mistake in embracing extremism?”
2) “Will the GOP prove worthy of its wins?”
Behind these two questions, we can see that Virginia's election was more than a governor election.
It was a test for the two main American parties about the reactions of the citizens when they don’t like how the politicians act.
My questions are:
1) Will the Democrats react after this wake-up call?
2) Will the GOP use this learning in the good way?
We will see the first results, next year, on November.2022.
