Facebook is facing a lot of criticism due to its techniques to attract teenagers and the effects of its social media products in the mental health of youngsters.
This is the subject of a story posted by Emily Glazer in the Wall Street Journal with the title of " "Mark Zuckerberg Breaks Silence on Facebook Whistleblower Testimony, Media Reports"
The story affirms that Instagram affects the mental health of the teenages and it says that internal documents show "how the company’s moderation rules favor elites, how its algorithms foster discord and how drug cartels and human traffickers use its services openly."
'Mark Zuckerberg wrote that he is especially focused on questions around Facebook’s work with children. “I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on the kinds of experiences I want my kids and others to have online, and it’s very important to me that everything we build is safe and good for kids.”'
Regardless of Facebook's defense about its research related to the teenagers' experiences in the social media, we observe products like Instagram modify the behavior of the kids in a dangerous way..
