In her WSJ weekly column, the journalist Peggy Noonan posted on February 10, 2022, an opinion column titled “Republicans, Stand Against Excess”.
In this column, Ms. Noonan says “Be the party of the big center—of normal, regular people—against the forces of ideology assailing them."
A lot of readers answered about this subject with diverse opinions. Some of them attack former President Trump with hard words, others defend him and the attack of Congress on January 6, 2022.
The extreme answer suggests that former vice president Mike Pence must be hanged because he followed the American Constitution principles and didn't stop the certification of the 2020 election.
I think different from the people who suggested violent actions in one or other direction.
This is what I posted in the WSJ blog comment: “The subject that Peggy Noonan put on the table is to rethink the current political moment of the United States. The authentic Republicans must stand against excess from the two sides.”
