You say " You don't lie to your VP boss". You are
talking with me. In our conversation, me I am your "You". I don't have
VP boss. I don't work in the White House. Maybe you wanted to say
something different.
The
pandemic will have a long-lasting effect because a lot of companies
didn't take fast initiatives to maintain their operations in a health
safety environment for their workers.
Immediately,
that we knew that an infectious sickness had epicenter in China, we had
to block all the flights from this place to US.
Republican Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas warned about this to the
White House, but the Administration didn't act immediate.
Of
course, Italy has responsibilities. All the countries that didn't act
immediately to block all the flights and connections with China have
responsibility.
The two first measures that everybody had to do were:
1) block all the travel connections with China.
2) Put in quarantine all the travelers from the Asian region linked with
the virus.
The
first steps of Chinese authorities when the coronavirus sickness
started in Wuhan were weak and confuse. They waited the epidemic began
in other countries, to take special measures.

the authorities don't have the control of the crisis.
