BLOG COMMENTS: Trump Explosive Start

Dear Friends:

From his first day in office, Donald Trump signed a series of executive orders that are generating explosive reactions.

About this first week of the new administration, David Brooks, prestigious columnist of The New York Times said: “We were here a week ago together, and it feels like a century.”

And from the other side, Mark Shields, another political analyst for PBS added: “The troubles that he’s inflicted this week and counting were totally unforced errors upon himself. So, this really is a time. Americans want the country to do well. They want the president to do well.”

Next, you can read my comments posted in the blog of Wall Street Journal and the reactions of the members of the Journal Comments. (Some of these comments were also posted as tweets related to the WSJ pages in Twitter.)

(This story talks about the problems that an Iranian employee of Google working in Seattle U.S. will have from now. She has a “green card”.)

My answer was: “And how many Americans went to jail in Iran?”

(During the last days, a new political movement jumped to the public asking for the secession of California from U.S. This initiative is not new. However, now the enemies of Donald Trump are looking for the independence of California from the U.S. Some years ago, a Russian political analyst warned the possible division of the United States of America in a series of smaller independent nations. In that moment, I posted my observation about this possible “rupture” of the U.S.)

The backers of California seceding from the U.S. are crazy. They will lose the incomes of companies like Intel and other technology giants with plants and labs in other states like Arizona, Oregon and Idaho.

About Theresa May, she knows that the Brexit was pushed in part as reaction against the massive invasion of refugees that suffered UK in the last few years.

With all the respects that I have for Angela Merkel, I have to say that before to criticize Donald Trump's refugee ban, the German Chancelllor has to fix the current mess that is her country due to the refugees.

During my years in Germany, I learned that there are good and bad refugees, but the majority of these people are not grateful will the new lands.

They only come to the western world to use us. They don't show interest to integrate to the communities they receive them.

Mr. Zuckerberg has to learn that his business is not about political issues. He has to run Facebook according to the regulations of the countries.. He also has problems in other lands because he talks a lot.

Maybe, the best will be that Mr. Zuckerberg opens a branch office of the Democratic Party instead to run Facebook.

It will be better than Google CEO Sundar Pichai doesn't talk about political issues. He has a lot stuff to talk about technology matters.

From the other side, Google has to learn to run its businesses according to the regulations and laws of the countries where it makes transactions and has offices and people.

Before, Google had problems with China, France, Germany, the European Union and others.

It is great the effort that Google makes to spread technology across the world. However, the tech giants have to learn to respect the sovereign decisions of the countries.

Surely, a lot of relevant teachers will make a war against her. (Other newspapers are talking about the resistance of a lot of teachers to the nomination of Betsy DeVos.)
