BLOG COMMENTS - APRIL 27, 2016 - HOW TO DERAIL THE TRUMP'S CAMPAIGN

Dear Friends:

During the last few days, a lot of articles and stories were published by Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Washington Post about the President Obama last trip to Middle East and Europe, and the efforts of the Republican leaders to derail the Trump campaign.

Barack Obama met the top leaders of the Gulf countries in Saudi Arabia trying to rebuild frayed relationships with the oil owners of the Middle East. (We really don’t know this meeting will generate good results).

Also President Obama passed for U.K. to say: “Happy Birthday” to Elizabeth II in her 90 birthday celebration. There, he used his free time to play in a royal palace with the 2-year old Prince George.

Next, Obama traveled to Germany to open together with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel the 2016 edition of the famous Hannover Fair.

Meanwhile, in U.S. the Republican leaders had a series of talks to find the way to derail the Trump campaign, while Hillary Clinton consolidated her position against Bernie Sanders after her important victory in the Democratic voting of New York.

Now I would like to share with you a “summary” of recent news and the comments posted by myself in the WSJ Journal Community about headlines of the Wall Street Journal from April 21 to April 26.

Before my COMMENTS posted directly in the online pages of Wall Street Journal, I am copying for you some of the tweets that I posted yesterday evening and this morning early in the WSJ page of Twitter about the voting of Republicans and Democrats in the Tuesday polls of five states of the East of the United States: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. Here, they are:

Note: The numbers of these “impressions” were reflected by Twitter Analytics 14 hours after the poll results were published. Surely, these “impressions” will grow in the next hours.

Important: Some of the comments were rewritten according to the summary of news.

MY COMMENT: The growth of Hillary Clinton in the current presidential race is not her merit. It is the fault of others. Trump insulted to everybody. Sanders painted a socialist model that clashes against the American classic model. Obama welcomed the Muslim world in ingenuous and risky way.

MY COMMENT: Before to look for a running mate, Bernie Sanders has to show that he can win the nomination. The name of Elizabeth Warren will not give him the victory.

MY COMMENT: The decline of the sales and incomes of Apple is reasonable. It is impossible to grow every quarter when the market is full of devices.

Now Donald Trump is changing his message about H-1B visas with an open model for immigrants who come to US for professional works.

MY COMMENT: Today “Donald Trump flip-flops on H-1B visas”. Tomorrow he will flip-flop on the Mexican border and other subjects.

This story tells us how a Arab businessman grew as a oil tycoon of Islamic State and after that he had a deadly fall.

MY COMMENT: In the terror world nobody is the owner of own back.

After the GOP leaders met last week to find the way to derail Donald Trump, suddenly Ted Cruz and John Kasich made a strange alliance to fight against the front-runner.

MY COMMENT: The Cruz-Kasich alliance is a desperate “dull” move of the GOP to avoid a big disaster against Clinton.

In other times, marriages like Charter-Time Warner Cable were considered monopolistic and the regulators blocked them. Now the regulators recommend the approval of this deal without saying a word about the employees that maybe go to the street for this marriage and the other monopolistic effects of Charter-Time Warner Cable deal.

MY COMMENT: As we can see for this recommendation, today the regulators don't care for the negative sides of the big mergers.

This story glorifies the whole new level of intelligent systems and sensors that rule the life of a “smart city” like Singapore where all is under control.

MY COMMENT: Singapore as human community is the beauty of TECHNOLOGY, why the small towns of our Rocky Mountains are the beauty of NATURE.

There are different perspectives of how the human beings can live today in community.

What is the best? All depends of our life goals. Technology gives also the possibility to live in the middle of nothing with all the really we need to be happy and without the control of the sensors.

The sales and incomes of Chipotle declined in the last quarter after the scandal for the bad food it sold in some of these branches.

This story talks about the good salaries the tech firms pay to their employees, but it doesn’t talk about the new 12,000 employees that Intel is planning put in the street and the bad news of recent days related to Yahoo, Lexmark and other important tech firms with great results 5 or 10 years ago. By the way, Twitter, Microsoft, Netflix, Alphabet (father of Google), Intel and IBM posted disappointing financial results in the last few weeks.

MY COMMENT: Tech firms with good incomes pay sweet salaries to their employees. The others cut the payroll frequently and sometimes they discriminate against the older people.

In a new advertisement, Hillary Clinton is pointing against Donald Trump trying to put down his profile. (Irony, in the 2008 campaign of Hillary against Barack Obama, Donald Trump was one of her donors.)

MY COMMENT: Hillary is pointing her "missiles" against Donald Trump, but maybe there are secret agreements between both. We don’t know.

During his new tourist trip across Europe and Middle East, President Obama stopped in Germany to open the 2016 Hannover Fair together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. In that forum, Obama criticized the current steps of North Korea.

MY COMMENT: "Obama expresses skepticism" about North Korea, but during his government he didn't make enough to stop the military career of this dangerous country.

The German giant of engineering used the Obama visit to Germany to say: “Hello, America!” ( Siemens has not problem to say: “Hello China!, “Hello Iran!..)

MY COMMENT: Siemens only thinks about businesses also with dangerous countries and with corrupt practices.

The media said that the “Obama’s trip to Germany reflects a new closeness”, while in Hannover, the Germans received the American President with very negative demonstration. (What really is the truth?)

MY COMMENT: This is the last show of President Obama in Germany: smiles that really are not smiles.

MY COMMENT: The problem of Intel is different to the situation of other technology companies. It continues suffering the fall of the PC business and it doesn't find the way to return to the Andy Grove's times.

During his stop in United Kingdom, President Obama congratulated the Queen for her 90 years and played with the young Prince George in a royal palace.

The protest of thousands ahead of the Obama’s visit reflects a complete different image from the times when Barack Obama visited Germany as presidential candidate in 2008.
